This organization runs an award programme for young people between the ages of 14 and 25.
The programme is run in various settings, which include colleges, youth clubs, universities, businesses, national voluntary groups, probation day centres and pupil referral units.

Young people can get the opportunity to improve their basic skills, develop and be accredited for Key Skills or learn practical skills for the workplace.

Key skills covered include reliability, commitment, decision making, planning, communication, leadership and the ability to work as part of a team.

The Prince’s Trust runs a similar programme to The Duke of
Edinburgh’s Award.
This organization helps young people to fulfil their potential.

It also helps people working with 14 to 30 year-olds
experiencing difficulty.

It runs xl clubs for 14 to 17 year-olds: A team-based personal
development course, equivalent to a GCSE for Year 10 and 11 students,
based in schools.

There are around 300 xl clubs across the UK helping young people who have difficulties at school, including those at risk of exclusion. Your child can volunteer to join the club.

The Leaving Care Initiative- for 16 to 21 year-olds, providing volunteer mentors to support and advise young people leaving care.
