Gbefaloi (pronounced Befaloy) comes from the Ga dialect of Ghana and refers to ‘travellers’ who collected and shared knowledge of traditional drumming, dancing and story telling wherever they went. The meaning ultimately taps into the ethos of this company, which comprises of a diverse group of UK-based drummers and dancers from England, Ghana and Trinidad &Tobago.
